ChatGPT Ads for Law Firms

A new channel.A disciplined test.Your firm’s goals.

Explore ChatGPT advertising with a clear business question, a controlled investment, and a plan for the inquiries it may produce. We help eligible US law firms assess the opportunity and prepare campaigns that can be judged against real intake outcomes.

US legal-service eligibility and platform approval required. ChatGPT Ads remains in beta.

Start with the firm

Explore the opportunity before committing the budget.

A new advertising channel can be interesting without being the next priority for your firm. We start with the matters you want, the clients you can serve, and the work your intake team can handle. Then we assess whether a ChatGPT Ads test can answer a useful acquisition question.

This service covers paid advertising: campaign readiness, approved ads, landing experiences, and measurement. It is separate from earning citations in AI answers. An ad does not buy an organic recommendation, change ChatGPT’s answer, or imply an OpenAI endorsement.

Our law firm PPC and paid media partnership connects that test to the rest of your investment. Existing paid search, your website, and intake should provide the context for deciding whether a new channel earns more budget.

What the engagement covers

A plan your team can act on.

01

Establish eligibility first

We assess the advertiser’s location, legal services, target jurisdictions, and current access requirements. OpenAI permits US legal-service ads when the advertiser is licensed where the ad appears; regulated-category approval is reviewed manually and access is gradual. The firm must complete required verification, billing, and approval. Current OpenAI ad policies.

02

Set one useful test objective

The initial brief identifies the practice, market, offer, budget limit, and outcome we want to learn about. A firm seeking business-law consultations needs a different message and intake standard from a personal injury practice. We make those differences explicit before preparing campaigns.

03

Build relevant ads and context

We develop clear, supportable messages that explain the firm’s service and next step. Creative and campaign setup use the controls available to the approved account. We assess platform context and targeting options without assuming that Google Search keywords, match types, and reporting transfer directly to a conversational product.

04

Prepare the page people reach

The destination should make the advertised offer understandable on a phone, show the attorneys behind it, and explain how someone requests help. Your firm approves claims and jurisdictional language. Where the page needs work, our law firm website team can scope the design and contact experience alongside the campaign.

05

Define measurement before launch

We inspect the available conversion tooling and your intake systems. We define what counts as an inquiry, which inquiries qualify, and how signing is recorded. Technical access, consent, event quality, and matching determine how far reporting can connect. We verify the implementation rather than assuming a universal CRM integration.

06

Use evidence to decide the next step

We review delivery, spend, relevant inquiries, and recorded outcomes against the test question. The recommendation may be to refine the message, repair the landing experience, extend learning, or stop. A platform’s novelty is not enough reason to increase spending.

If a test produces no recorded inquiries, we first check delivery, the destination and measurement. We explain the result and its limits before recommending more spend. A small or unsuccessful test does not establish that a channel works—or fails—for every law firm.

Bring your goals, current campaigns, and questions. We’ll discuss where this channel fits.

See the placement

A sponsored placement, clearly separate from the answer.

OpenAI’s official example shows a sponsored unit below a response, with an ad disclosure. That separation matters: the firm buys advertising exposure, not editorial influence over the answer.

The product example uses a retail advertiser to illustrate the interface. It is not a Juris Digital campaign, a legal-service approval, or evidence of law-firm conversion performance.

From attention to an outcome

The test ends with a decision about clients, not just clicks.

ChatGPT Ads supports campaign reporting and conversion measurement, but the platform remains in beta. We inspect what the approved account and your systems can actually measure. The operating goal is to learn whether the channel adds suitable inquiries that progress toward retained clients.

  1. 01

    Approved, relevant delivery

Confirm the campaign can serve and assess spend, exposure, and engagement against its objective. Changes in beta delivery may affect the pace of learning.

  2. 02

    Qualified inquiries

Reconcile tracked website actions with intake records where supported. Separate valid prospects from duplicates, spam, unsuitable matters, and people outside the firm’s service area.

  3. 03

    Signed matters and next steps

Follow recorded inquiries through the firm’s signing process. Use supported attribution and observed outcomes to evaluate the test. Show unmatched or incomplete records explicitly rather than claiming every matter came from the ad.

Investment & fit

A learning budget with a defined review point.

We propose the campaign and management scope after assessing eligibility, practice area, creative needs, landing pages, and tracking. Your media budget should be affordable as a test and large enough to address the question being asked. The proposal defines spending limits and separates media from setup, management, and any website work.

OpenAI says established performance benchmarks across industries and campaign types are not yet available. We will not turn a broad platform claim into a promised law-firm cost per case. Delivery and spend can fluctuate while the product develops. Current ChatGPT Ads beta guidance.

Agreeing on a review period does not guarantee enough usable data will arrive within it. When evidence is limited, the report should explain what was learned, what remains uncertain, and what another test would cost. That gives your firm a decision it can make.

Your firm should know which costs it is authorizing and what would cause us to pause. We agree those decisions before launch, including how to handle a test that produces too little useful evidence. A new platform does not receive an open-ended learning budget.

Can lawyers advertise on ChatGPT now?

Eligible legal-service advertisers can advertise in the US, subject to licensure in the jurisdictions where ads are shown and platform review. OpenAI’s current policy prohibits legal-service advertising outside the US. General Ads Manager country availability does not override that category restriction. Approval for a particular firm is established during onboarding, not by this page.

Will this make ChatGPT recommend our firm?

No. Ads are labeled paid placements, separate from answers. Advertisers cannot buy a change to how ChatGPT writes or ranks a response. If your goal is organic visibility and citations, that is a separate strategy with different work and measurement. How ads appear in ChatGPT.

Does Juris Digital get access to people’s private chats?

No. OpenAI does not give advertisers users’ private conversations, chat histories, or memories. We work with available campaign reporting and information a prospective client chooses to provide through your firm’s own contact process. Sensitive case details should not be treated as advertising targeting data.

Can we import our Google Ads campaigns and expect the same results?

We do not assume that. The context, inventory, controls, and reporting differ. Existing search campaigns can inform useful messages and intake definitions, but ChatGPT advertising needs its own setup and evaluation. Each proposed platform earns a place through its fit with your firm.

Can you promise a cost per signed case?

We can define how to calculate and evaluate it when reliable source and outcome records exist. We cannot promise a benchmark or guaranteed case volume for an emerging channel. We keep forecast assumptions separate from observed results and preserve the distinction between an inquiry and a signed matter.

What should our team bring to the first discussion?

Bring your target practice areas and jurisdictions, current paid media investment, a description of intake and CRM systems, and the results you would need to justify a test. We will identify access, approval, creative, website, and measurement work before proposing a launch.
