Agency Rescue

Your firm should own everything it paid for.

If an agency controls your website, content, hosting, analytics, or ad accounts, you do not need another sales pitch. You need a team willing to roll up its sleeves, untangle the mess, and put control back in your hands.

One-time engagement. No long-term retainer required.

Casey Meraz, founder of Juris Digital

It has always pissed me off when agencies take advantage of their clients and hold websites, accounts, or data hostage. Genuinely, that is bad business. It hurts people, and it comes back around. We built Agency Rescue to hold that behavior accountable and put the client back in control.

The problem

Agency lock-in can hide in more places than you think.

Sometimes it becomes obvious during a breakup. Sometimes a broken website, departing employee, billing dispute, or surprise password reset exposes it. We trace the whole digital footprint, not just the first account you noticed.

Website, domain, and hosting

Your agency is the registrant, controls DNS, owns the hosting account, or will only let you keep the website if you continue paying them.

Content and creative files

Copy, photos, videos, design files, landing pages, or brand assets are treated like the agency's property even though your firm funded the work.

Analytics and tracking

Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, call tracking, dashboards, or conversion history sit in accounts your firm cannot administer.

Search and local visibility

Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, Bing Webmaster Tools, listings, or citation accounts are attached to the wrong owner or email.

Paid media accounts

Google Ads, Local Services Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, audiences, pixels, and years of campaign data could vanish when the relationship ends.

Passwords, billing, and admin access

Former vendors or employees are still administrators, multi-factor authentication goes to someone else, or nobody knows which login controls what.

When transfer is not an option

If the old website cannot come with you, we can rebuild it.

If your firm does not own the website, cannot access the files, or cannot safely move it, we can quickly rebuild the essential experience in a firm-owned platform your team can edit. We reconnect the forms, analytics, tracking, and critical pages so a hostile vendor does not get to decide when your firm can move forward.

Why we do this

Our values are operating instructions.

Juris Digital's core values are not a branding exercise. They guide what we do when the work is difficult, the history is incomplete, and another agency has left a firm exposed.

Read our core values
TransparencyYou see what we find, what we can recover, what we cannot promise, and what each step costs.
EmpathyWe understand that an agency transition can feel urgent, frustrating, and risky. We meet you there.
RelationshipsWe work with your team and, when possible, your outgoing partners to make the handoff professional.
ExcellenceAccess is not enough. We verify ownership, document the setup, and close the gaps that could cause trouble later.
InnovationWhen the standard recovery path fails, we look for a responsible alternative instead of stopping at the first obstacle.
FunHard transitions still benefit from calm people, clear communication, and a little humanity.

The plan

From uncertain access to a clean handoff.

You do not have to know every account that exists. That is part of the work.

  1. 01

    Inventory and triage

We map accounts, owners, vendors, logins, billing, dependencies, and immediate risks. Then we prioritize what could break or disappear first.

  2. 02

    Secure and transfer

We pursue access, update administrators, move hosting when needed, protect continuity, and place ownership under firm-controlled accounts.

  3. 03

    Document and hand over

You receive an ownership map, access record, unresolved-items list, and practical next-step plan your team can actually use.

A defined rescue, not an endless engagement. We scope the work around the assets and risks you need resolved.

The outcome

Your next agency should work for you, not own you.

At the end of an Agency Rescue, the goal is simple: your firm controls its critical digital property and understands how it fits together. If a platform or former vendor limits what can be recovered, we document it clearly and give you a practical path forward.

  • Firm-controlled ownership for recovered accounts and assets
  • Administrator access assigned to people your firm chooses
  • Continuity plan for hosting, tracking, ads, and lead flow
  • Written access map so the next transition is not a crisis
  • Prioritized next steps for anything that still needs repair or replacement

Questions

Before you hand us the keys.

Do we have to hire Juris Digital afterward?+

No. Agency Rescue is a one-time engagement. If there is a mutual fit for an ongoing partnership, we can discuss it after your firm is back in control.

Can you recover an account if the old agency will not cooperate?+

We can pursue the recovery and escalation paths available from the platform, registrar, host, or vendor. No responsible agency can guarantee access before reviewing ownership records and platform rules, so we will be direct about what is and is not recoverable.

What if we do not own the website or cannot take it with us?+

We first determine whether the existing site can be safely transferred. If your firm does not own it, cannot access it, or would be better served by starting clean, we can rebuild the essential site in a firm-owned, editable setup. We can move quickly, reconnect forms and tracking, and give your team documented access from day one.

Will our marketing stay live during the transition?+

Continuity is part of the plan. We identify dependencies and sequence changes to reduce disruption, but the exact risk depends on the access and infrastructure we find.
