Paid Social Advertising for Law Firms

Reach the peopleyour firm canactually help.

A full lead spreadsheet can still leave your intake team with little useful work. Paid social needs a clear audience, a credible reason to respond and a plan for what happens next. We bring those decisions together so your firm can judge campaigns by the quality of the opportunities they create.

Facebook and Instagram campaigns, with LinkedIn evaluated for relevant business audiences and objectives.

Start with the firm

Choose a reason to enter someone's feed.

A person scrolling a social feed has not necessarily asked for a lawyer. Your message needs to explain a relevant service and offer a sensible next step. That might mean introducing your firm, explaining how an initial conversation works or promoting an educational event.

We start with the matters you want, the people you can serve and the staff available to respond. Paid social has a place in a broader paid media plan when the audience, creative and follow-up support a specific business purpose.

What the engagement covers

A plan your team can act on.

01

Select the platform for the audience.

We evaluate Facebook and Instagram against your intended audience and campaign objective. LinkedIn may merit a separate test for a business-law service or professional audience. Platform popularity alone does not determine the recommendation, and the same ad does not need to run everywhere. Each channel should have a reason to receive part of your budget.

02

Develop a message people can understand.

We build creative around your firm’s actual services and a useful next step. The ad should explain who the service is for without unsupported case promises, misleading claims or assumptions about a viewer’s private circumstances. Attorney approval, image permissions and any required disclosures are part of preparing the campaign.

03

Connect ads with an appropriate response.

A website destination, platform form and event registration create different expectations. We choose the response path deliberately, review what information it requests and make the follow-up clear. A form should help begin a conversation; detailed or sensitive matter information belongs in an appropriate intake process.

04

Plan targeting and data use.

We review available geography, audiences and exclusions in the context of your practice and the platform’s rules. We do not assume that an existing client list or every website visitor can be used for advertising. Where suitable targeting is limited, the message, destination and qualification process become especially important.

05

Improve campaigns using intake feedback.

Creative tests need more than reactions and inexpensive form submissions. We review which messages produce relevant inquiries, whether people can be reached and why the firm accepts or declines them. Those observations inform the next creative version and spending decision without turning every small fluctuation into a claimed improvement.

Bring your goals, current campaigns, and questions. We’ll discuss where this channel fits.

A sponsored post has to earn the next step.

LinkedIn’s published example shows sponsored content in desktop and mobile feeds. For a business-law firm, a feed placement may introduce a service to relevant decision-makers. Facebook and Instagram have different audiences and formats; we plan their creative separately.

From attention to an outcome

Follow the inquiry into the firm.

The campaign’s job is defined before launch. An awareness campaign and a consultation campaign need different early measures, but both should have a business reason to continue. We separate platform activity from the outcomes your firm records.

Where source data and intake records can be reconciled, reporting follows inquiries through qualification and retention. That work depends on available tracking, appropriate data use and consistent updates from the people handling prospective clients.

  1. 01

    Make the response usable.

Identify who receives each inquiry, how it enters your system and who follows up. Separate duplicate, irrelevant and unreachable contacts from people who fit the firm’s criteria. Review the intake response alongside campaign performance so missed follow-up is visible.

  2. 02

    Define what the firm counts.

Agree on qualified inquiry, consultation and confirmed retention. Record when each stage occurs, and keep a signed agreement separate from an administrative matter-opening step if they differ. A platform form, scheduled call or accepted lead is not automatically a signed client.

  3. 03

Compare costs on the same basis.

Review media spend and agreed service costs against supported outcomes over a consistent period. Keep click-based and view-based attribution distinguishable where available, reconcile duplicates across platforms and identify missing outcomes. Report cost per attributed signed client only when the underlying records support it.

Investment & fit

A lower lead cost is only part of the decision.

We scope platform spend, management, creative production, destination work and measurement separately so you can see the commitment. The proposal should also identify who controls the accounts and assets, what approvals are needed and how the engagement can change.

A platform’s reported cost per lead does not mean it bills only for qualified leads. Charging and bidding arrangements vary by platform, objective and format, including impression- or click-based options. We explain the selected setup and define a review point that considers the quality of inquiries and the time your team spends on them.

Is paid social the same as social media management?

No. Paid social concerns purchasing and managing advertising distribution. Organic posting, comment management and maintaining the firm’s everyday social presence are related but separate work. The campaign scope should make clear which creative, publishing and response responsibilities are included.

Will Facebook or Instagram work for our practice?

That depends on the audience, service, message, market and intake process. We review those conditions before recommending a test. A platform’s large audience or another firm’s result does not establish that your campaign will produce suitable clients at an acceptable cost.

When would you recommend LinkedIn?

When the firm’s service and objective have a useful connection to a professional audience. Business owners evaluating outside counsel are one possible context. That is a reason to investigate audience fit and economics, not a claim that LinkedIn will outperform another channel.

Can a platform form qualify the entire matter?

It can collect an appropriate initial response, but it should not replace the firm’s full intake and legal review. Platform rules also limit what information can be requested. We keep the advertising response focused and agree where detailed qualification, conflict checks and retention decisions will happen.

What if we receive plenty of leads but sign few clients?

We examine reachability, fit, response time, expectations and the steps before retention. A low signing rate may reflect campaign choices, intake problems or both. We use the recorded reasons to decide what to change instead of assuming that buying more leads will solve it.

How do we get started?

Share the matters you want, your geographic limits, current advertising, available creative and intake process. We discuss the role paid social could play, the work required and how you would evaluate a test. We do not need you to commit to every social platform.
