If you are considering Rankings.io for your personal injury firm, ask for a proposal that connects the work to the cases your firm wants, the people who will do it, and the total cost you will carry. Its current offering extends beyond personal injury SEO. A useful review needs to evaluate that offering rather than compare against an outdated description of the agency.

Disclosure: Juris Digital publishes this review and competes with Rankings.io. This is a review of public information and a guide to evaluating a proposal. We have not audited its client accounts or tested its services as a customer. Provider claims are attributed below; they are not independent findings about the results your firm will receive.

    What does Rankings.io offer now?

On its official website, Rankings.io presents personal injury as its specialty and also lists criminal defense, family law, immigration, employment, bankruptcy, and planning and probate among the practices it serves. The same site lists SEO, Google Search Ads, Local Services Ads, AI search, website design, social media, and video marketing. Describing it as exclusively a personal injury SEO agency would leave out its current advertised scope.

That scope makes the first meeting more specific: which of these services does your firm need, and which are actually included in the proposal? An agency offering a service does not mean it is included in your fee. If your injury practice needs more suitable car accident inquiries in two counties, ask how the proposed pages, local work, ads, and intake reporting support that goal. Ask the same question for the matters you do not want.

For background on the work itself, our personal injury SEO guide explains the search strategy. Use it to understand a proposal, then ask the vendor to identify the priorities for your market rather than give you a generic list of activities.

    How much does Rankings.io cost?

We cannot verify a current standard price for your firm from the public information reviewed. Request a written, itemized proposal. The homepage describes services and a consultation offer; it does not provide an itemized quote for your practice and market.

Compare the amount you will actually spend over the same period. Separate the agency fee from ad spend, website build or migration, content, tracking software, hosting, and any work billed outside the monthly agreement. Ask whether spending changes as you add offices or practice areas, and who can approve those changes.

    • Monthly work: What deliverables and implementation hours are included, and which requests cost extra?
    • Advertising: Is media spend paid directly by your firm, and how are management fees calculated?
    • Launch: What setup, website, tracking, or migration costs occur before recurring work begins?
    • Exit: What notice, final fees, transfer assistance, and third-party obligations apply?

For example, a hypothetical $8,000 monthly service fee plus $5,000 in monthly ad spend costs $156,000 over twelve months before any setup or outside costs. That is budgeting arithmetic, not a Rankings.io quote. Compare proposals using the same included costs and period. Then decide whether the commitment fits your cash flow while the firm evaluates the results.

What do reviews and case studies actually tell you?

Rankings.io publishes testimonials and case-study links on its website. These can show which clients and outcomes the company chooses to highlight. They do not independently establish the typical result, the contribution of each channel, or the result a new client should expect.

Ask for a reference with a relevant starting point: similar market competition, practice mix, website condition, and intake capacity. A mature multi-office firm may need a different program than a new solo practice. Ask that reference what was delivered, how communication worked, what changed in suitable inquiries, and what remained difficult. Where confidentiality limits the answer, ask for the measurement method rather than private client details.

Read the dates and definitions behind every result. More traffic, more tracked calls, more qualified inquiries, and more signed cases are different outcomes. Ask whether a figure includes existing clients, duplicate contacts, paid advertising, and changes in the firm’s intake. A before-and-after chart alone cannot separate the agency’s contribution from those influences.

What should the SEO and content plan explain?

The proposal should name the cases and locations the firm wants to serve, the pages that need work, and the reason each priority comes first. Ask to see examples of practice pages and legal articles, who writes them, and how your lawyers review legal accuracy before publication. Clarify who implements technical fixes, rather than assuming a recommendation becomes a completed website change.

A practical question is: “If our website already receives injury calls but most are outside our service area, what would you investigate first?” A useful answer should distinguish search targeting, the page’s promise, tracking, and intake qualification. Publishing more articles may not resolve the actual problem.

For local work, ask which offices and Google Business Profiles are in scope, who controls access, and how listings and website changes will be approved. For links or publicity, ask for examples, placement criteria, approval rights, and the costs involved. Avoid treating a promised quantity of pages or links as a substitute for explaining their purpose.

How will you judge ads and AI search work?

Rankings.io advertises both paid search and AI search services. Request separate deliverables and measurement definitions for each. An SEO agreement, an advertising campaign, and an AI visibility report should not be assessed with an unexplained combined score.

For ads, ask who owns the accounts, how the budget is approved, which calls and forms are tracked, and how intake identifies suitable inquiries. Ask how the agency will respond if calls increase but the firm signs fewer of the matters it wants. The answer should include the targeting and intake evidence needed to investigate, along with who can make changes.

For AI search, ask which products and questions are tested, how often observations are collected, and what the report measures. A recorded mention or citation is visibility evidence. It is not proof that someone contacted or hired the firm. Ask what website or content work follows from the observations and how ordinary referral, inquiry, and case reporting will be kept distinct.

Who owns the website and what happens if you leave?

The Rankings.io homepage currently advertises WordPress website ownership and month-to-month flexibility. Treat these as public positioning, then verify the terms in the agreement offered to your firm. We have not reviewed your contract, and the homepage does not establish every transfer obligation or exception.

Get written answers about domain registration, hosting, website files and database, content rights, analytics, Search Console, advertising accounts, phone numbers, and tracking exports. Ask whether your firm has administrative access during the relationship and what must be transferred when it ends. Include third-party licenses and the work required to keep forms and calls functioning after a move.

Also ask about conflicts in your market: which competing firms the agency serves, whether it offers any exclusivity, and the exact geography and practice covered. Do not assume exclusivity or ownership from a sales conversation. Put the terms that affect your firm’s options into the written scope.

What should monthly reporting and communication look like?

Ask for a sample report and the name of the person responsible for turning it into decisions. Confirm meeting frequency, escalation contacts, response expectations, and who actually performs SEO, content, design, and advertising work. Public descriptions of a dedicated strategist do not establish how your specific account will be staffed.

Agree with your intake team on what counts as a qualified inquiry before launch. Keep unique inquiries, consultations, signed clients, and fees separate, and name the unknowns where tracking is incomplete. Our guide to measuring SEO by qualified inquiries and new cases explains how to make that distinction.

A useful meeting ends with an action: a page to revise, an advertising audience to investigate, a tracking repair, or an intake follow-up problem to resolve. Ask the agency to show completed work alongside the outcomes so you can assess whether the agreed priorities are being carried out.

How should you compare Rankings.io with Juris Digital?

Compare the proposals on the same case goals, services, budget period, ownership terms, and reporting definitions. Both agencies advertise work beyond SEO, so a claim that one offers broader marketing merely because the other only does SEO would be misleading. Request evidence of fit for your practice and market from each.

If you are building a shortlist, our best law firm SEO companies comparison introduces other agencies to consider alongside these proposal questions. Juris Digital publishes that list and ranks itself first; use the comparison as a starting point for your own evaluation.

Juris Digital’s personal injury SEO service is one option to discuss when organic search is part of that plan. Our client success stories show published examples to evaluate, and our website portfolio lets you inspect design work. Read those materials with the same questions about context, scope, and outcomes that you apply to Rankings.io.

Before choosing, ask each agency to explain the first priorities, the full commitment, the evidence you will review, and how you can leave with your assets and records. If you want to discuss whether Juris Digital fits those needs, Explore Partnership. Bring your current results, the cases you want, and the proposal questions you still need answered.
